Coka Klug is the owner, creator and director of YogaTribe, a local business which delivers yoga and wellness practice in a truly sustainable way, offering workshops and yoga practice in addition to sustainable, ethical yoga products.
While she started YogaTribe almost two years ago, Coka has only just discovered Venture Centre (thanks to trusty old Google!) and what it offers to business owners like her.
“Running YogaTribe has been the biggest challenge. I’m a creative person who has flowed my entire life, so it was a big crash into planet earth to start a business and do everything that involves - accounting, legal stuff, organise timetables,” she says.
“When you are a creative person you live most of the time in the world of ideas. Now I’m learning to organise them to make them happen. It’s the hardest journey, but I’m getting there.”
Coka has attended PoweringON’s Office Hours - for help with Xero and Google AdWords. Office Hours is a regular, free, 45-minute session with various professionals specialising in intellectual property, law and financials.
“Venture Centre has been great and inspiring. I found my new accountant through them, as well as great people who will release me of so much work I was doing all by myself. It’s a great place to get guidance, support and connections.”
She is now also working on improving her business’ website, too. And is only too happy to recommend Venture Centre, and Office Hours, to others like her.
Her one piece of advice to other Bay businesses? “Get a good accountant, Xero and invest in branding and good internet geeks!”

- Venture Centre works to connect people on enterprising journeys - with each other and the mindset, skillset, toolsets, networks and resources they need - to build an ecosystem that delivers real-world, learn-by-doing events, activities, projects and experiences, and more... This would not be possible without the support of Tauranga City and Western Bay of Plenty District councils.
If you would like to add your support or get involved with this work to help build entrepreneurially capable, digitally and commercially empowered communities who contribute and benefit from the resulting prosperity and wellbeing, we’d love to hear from you.
